This issue of the Trades Directory series is unusual in that, following the usual Trades Directory (with entries sorted by trade within town), is a County Supplement which contains "exhaustive lists of the County Councillors, Nobility, Landowners, Professional Gentlemen, Private Residents and Farmers. This section is arranged alphabetically according to Parishes, but (with a few exceptions) does not include residents in Municipal or Parliamentary Burghs". The original publication includes a Gazetteer of Scotland - this has not been reproduced on the download.
The sections within the directory are: Edinburgh & Leith Municipal Directory; Edinburgh & Leith Trades Directory; Edinburghshire (or Midlothian) Trades Directory; Peeblesshire Trades Directory; County Supplement.

The Edinburgh & Leith section includes: Craigmillar, Duddingston, Granton, Joffa, Newhaven, Niddrie, Portobello, Trinity & Wardie.
The Edinburghshire (Midlothian) section includes: Bonnyrigg, Calders, Colinton, Corstophine, Cramond, Dalkeith, Gorebridge, Lasswade, Loanhead, Musselburgh, Pathhead, Penicuik, Ratho, Roslin & Stow.
The Peeblesshire section includes: Innerleithen, Peebles, & West Linton.

Some of the scanned pages appear not to be straight. This is a feature of the original book rather than the scanning process. In addition, some of the corners of the scanned pages appear to be clipped. This is a result of having to scan at a slight angle to compensate for skewed print in the original publication.
