The book is a brief but comprehensive history of the parish and guide to the Church. It contains chapters on Reculver; The Parish of Herne; The Church of Herne; Vicars of Herne and Chantry Priests; Parish Registers; Tithes & Fees and Old Wills plus an Index and List of Subscribers. The work also contains 21 illustrations. Each "web page" contains a single page of the book, with the ability to zoom in and out.
