This book (Supplied as a download) lists a good selection of Residents, Local Traders and offers plenty of town information and social history. The Residents, Towns & Villages and Commercial directories are all alphabetically listed. Also the towns of Bedford, Dunstable and Luton have their own dedicated Residents and Commercial directories. Fortunately the two original maps that were printed with the book have survived and are included with the download. One of the maps is from 1924 and unusually the second is a reproduction dating from 1610.

Anyone doing their research with an interest in Bedfordshire in the 1920's will find this directory useful in their research.

Please note all the towns and villages listed have some reference to individuals, both residents and traders, but not necessarily the whole population of the towns or villages.

Some of the scanned pages appear not to be straight. This is a feature of the original book rather than the scanning process.
