The book from which this download was taken from has come to us in good condition and unusually the map is still present and is included.

The directory comprises of Nottinghamshire information, such as the counties magistrates and geology. Also the download has the Professions & Trades Directory (Alphabetically listed); Towns & Villages Directory (Alphabetically listed) and Court Directory (Alphabetically listed). The Court Directory is the early version of was later called the Residents Directory, this early type of list only included the "top 10,000 residents" for the county. Nottingham however does have a street, private residents and commercial directory which are all alphabetically listed.

A number of the scanned pages appear not to be straight. This is a result of the way in which the original book was printed rather than the scanning process.
